According to John Frye at the Washington County Free Library in the Western Maryland room, St. John's Lutheran Church 141 S Potomac Street in Hagerstown, MD built its Sunday School building over the old German Lutheran Cemetery burial grounds in 1921 but the graves were not removed. The gravestones were removed to Rose Hill Cemetery and used as fill for a road thru the cemetery. The stones were read and are published in the Washington County cemetery records.
