Fred C. Kidd, 93, of Athens, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. A native of Madison County, Mr. Kidd was a son of the late Ulus & Addie Ann Wall Kidd. He worked in management for Brown Transport Corporation. Mr. Kidd was a member of the Georgia Bulldog Club for over 25 years & also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having fought in the Battle of the Bulge & served as the radio operator in the tank with General George Patton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Sallie Willoughby Kidd & son-in-law, S. Ray Bass.

Survivors include daughter, Rita K. Bass; sister, Cumi Duncan; a number of nieces and nephews & the staff at Magnolia Estates. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating. Bernstein Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements. 1922 - 2016.
