Carroll Leon Lake, 71 of Batesville went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 5, 2016. He was born August 25, 1944 in Macon, Missouri.

He was the son of the late John Glenn and Esther Lucille Marshman Lake. He retired from the Batesville School District and the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was married to Rebecca Lee Brower on September 6, 1973 in Aiken, South Carolina and she preceded him in death in 2002.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three sisters, Hazel Ammon, Charlotte Irene Lake and Hester Lake; four brothers, Samuel Lake, Lawrence Lake, John Lake Jr. and Thomas Alfred Lake; one grandchild, and one aunt, Erma Hayes.

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Williams of Batesville; one son, Dustin Lake and wife Rebecca of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Cullen, Mieleena, Keegan and Rayden; two great grandchildren; one sister, Hester Walker of Otomwa, Iowa;one aunt, Irene Crabb of Iowa and one niece, Joetta Wood of Plato, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Olden, Missouri.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers are Rick Brower and Gary Brower.
