Effie LaNae Dalton Armitage, age 73, passed away June 2, 2016 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born March 23, 1943 to Harold Dalton and Gertrude Carter Marshall (Howard) in Minersville, Utah.

She was a graduate of Beaver High School. She loved to learn and had an affinity with numbers and accounting. LaNae worked for many years with the Moose Lodge in Denver, Colorado. She loved to watch westerns and play bingo and card games. LaNae was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She married Cullen Puffer and they had two children: Myra Lee Ayers and Melonie Kae Puffer. She later divorced Cullen. LaNae married Joseph William Armitage and had a daughter Ann Lanae Armitage.

LaNae is survived by her daughter Melonie Kae Puffer, daughter Ann Lanae Armitage, brother Elvin Marshall, sisters Brenda Bowcutt (Jay) and Trudy Janes (Jerry), sister-in-law Rowena Dalton (Max-deceased), grandson Nicholas Aubrey Miller, great granddaughter Aubrey Marie Miller, and her one fur child Wyatt Armitage.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Howard Marshall, her husband Cullen Puffer and child Myra Lee Ayers, husband Joseph William Armitage, and her brothers Max Dalton and Louie Dalton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Minersville LDS Chapel (130 W Main, Minersville, UT). Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am Wednesday morning at the church. Interment will be in the Minersville Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
