Joyce Marie Hall, age 80, of Salem, IL died June 3, 2016 at the Odin Care Center. Of the Baptist faith, Joyce was a homemaker, loved her husband, children and grand and great grandchildren with all her heart. Living many years in Texas, she was especially fond of yellow roses and bluebonnets.
Funeral services for Joyce Marie Hall will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy. Visiting hours will be from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gideon's and will be accepted by the funeral home.
Joyce Marie Hall is survived by her husband Herbert Hall of Salem; son: Duke Peeler and wife Sandi of Belton, TX; daughter: Yvonne Entrop of Academy, TX; step-children: Ed Hall and wife Cheri and Nancy Clark and husband Larry all of Salem. In addition, she is survived by siblings Jack Strange of Loveland, CO, Von Strange and wife Kay and Bernice Denton all of Flora and Judy and husband Ken McPherson of Lufkin, TX, 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Born August 13, 1935 in Flora, she was the daughter of Lloyd J. and Eva (Thompson) Strange who preceded her in death. She married John A. Peeler and he preceded her in death. She then married Herbert W. Hall and he survives her in Salem. In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Randy Peeler, a step-son Doug Hall and 4 sisters.
