He had been employed as a welder at Diamond Coach Corporation in Oswego for the past 13 years.
He was an avid horseshoe pitcher, a great fan of bluegrass music, and had attended bluegrass music festivals in Winfield, Kansas, with his wife and family for 33 years.
He and Susan Rife were married November 9, 1973, in Oswego.
