Born at Paul's Switch, he spent the majority of his life in the Jonesboro area. He was an Army veteran of WWII, where he was in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded a Purple Heart. Mr. Sutton was a member of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He was the owner and operator of Sutton Realty for 30 years and was of the Baptist belief.
He was preceded in Death by his parents, Clyde and Tilda Sutton, and two brothers, Bud Sutton and Charles Sutton.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda L. Sutton; two sons and their wifes, Jerry and Laura Ann Sutton, and Terry and Jeffifer Sutton both of Jonesboro; two daughters, Cheryl and Joe Doyle of Jonesbor, and Jackie Johnson of Cash; a brother and his wife, Tommy and Barbara Sutton of Corinth, MS; two sisters, Pauline Tate of Spartenburg, SC, and Shirley and Nathan Douglas of Perryville; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Harris, Shayne Sutton, Kaileigh Sutton, Sarah Campbell, Stephanie Campbell, Kimberly Laurent, Jessie R. Sutton, Bobby Johnson, Shawn Johnson and Mark Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Lucas Johnson and Ella Cate Harris.
