Clarks Hill - Charles L Lamb, 93, died at 10:45 Wednesday in St Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient since February 16. He had been in failing health the past year.

Born northeast of Romney, he moved to Monticello in 1926, and from 1927-1977 he lived in Tippecanoe County. Since 1977 he had resided at Clarks Hill and for the last nine months had been a patient in Bowles Nursing Home here. His first marriage was to Daisy McCay, who died in 1919. In 1921 he was married at Mulberry to Nora Watts, who survives. Mr Lamb farmed and worked for Standard Oil Co., several years. He was one of the first farmers in this area to have a threshing machine and threshing ring. Later he was employed 47 years as a car salesman for Walter L Gray. Mr Lamb was affiliated with Clarks Hill Christian church and was a member of Romney masonic Lodge 441 and Odd Fellows of Lafayette over 50 years.

Surviving with the widow are two sons, Eddie Lamb, Clarks Hill and Clarence Lamb of Lafayette, two daughters, Mrs Hal (Betty) Clark of Clarks Hill and Mrs Ruby Tucker of Lafayette, and a brother, Ray Lamb of Lafayette.

Same stone as Nona, and he is buried next to Daisy Lamb on one side and Charles D. Lamb on the other.
