Edna Elaine Burleson, age 67, of Timberline Trail, Spruce Pine, NC, passed away January 24, 2011. She was born in Mitchell County, NC to the late Ike and Rosa Frye Sheets. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert Burleson of Bakersville, NC, daughter, Patricia Hughes and husband J.R. of Spruce Pine, NC, sisters, Daisy Campbell of Bluff City, TN, Betty Lingerfelt, Martha Phillips, and Margaret Perry all of Bakersville, NC, brother, Rev. J.C. Sheets of Bakersville, NC, grandchildren, Amanda Nance and Jamie Hughes, great grandchild, Hayden Nance.
She was preceded in death by: brothers, Howard, Bobby, Fred, Billy, and Arthur, sister, Ann Thomas.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 8:00PM in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville, NC. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. G.B. Garland, Chris Nance, and Paul Ault will be officiating the service. Interment will be Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00AM in the Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery.
