The ninth soldier who died during a training accident on June 2 at Owl Creek is Spc. Yingming Sun, Fort Hood officials said Sunday in a news release.
Sun, 25, from Monterey Park, Calif., entered active-duty military service in October 2013 as a motor transport operator.
The release notes he had been stationed at Fort Hood since August 2014.
The identities of the other eight soldiers were released Saturday night.

Sun’s awards and decorations include National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon.
