It was there she formed many lifelong friendships and touched countless lives while working with the youth and teaching Sunday School. She was a gifted cook, mostly known for her persimmon pudding. She enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, making jellies, knitting, quilting and doing anything that would keep her busy. She also loved fishing and spending time at the coast with her husband, Russell.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Hensley (Pat); grandsons, Brandon K. Hensley, Chad Hensley (Rachel) and Brent Hensley (Sylvia); great grandchildren, Kyle J. Hensley and Dylan J.
