Jerry Beck died May 3, 2016. He was born November 25, 1937 in Lakeport to Addison and Hilda (Close) Beck. He was the Glades County Clerk of Courts for over 20 years. A lifetime resident of Lakeport, he was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church and Moore Haven Methodist Church.
Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his sons, David Beck and Gary Beck; brother, Wayne Beck; and great granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathleen Beck of Lakeport; four sons, Jeremy Patterson (Jennifer) of Lakeport, Jeffrey Patterson (Tiffany) of Moore Haven, Roger Swanson (Natalie) and Bruce Ball; three daughters, Brenda Kjos (Don) of Port St. Lucie, Karen Albert (Brian) of Okeechobee, and Jennifer Cosby (Phillip) of LaBelle; thirteen grandchildren; brother, Paul Beck (Emma Ruth); sister, Bonnie Dorazio (George); sister-in-law, Sarah Ann; and daughter-in-law, Dee Dee Beck all of Lakeport.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2016 from 12 p.m. until services begin at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Ortona Cemetery.
