OBITUARY :
DORIS J. BONNER, 89, of Golden Living Center in Gettysburg, PA and formerly of 7654 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro, PA went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 4, 2016.

Born March 5, 1927 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late J. Milton "Johnny" Bakner, and M. Grace (Heintzelman) Bakner. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.

She and her late husband Rev. Robert F. Bonner, of nearly 69 years, were married January 13, 1946. Rev. Bonner passed away on January 3, 2015.

Mrs. Bonner worked in her father's store in Fairview, Mont Alto Forestry as a Sapling Counter, and Quincy School as a Cafeteria Aide.

She was a member of Pen Mar United Brethren Church and Blue Rock United Brethren Church, Waynesboro.

Mrs. Bonner enjoyed crocheting, the beach, tending to her beautiful flowers, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Iris J. Gardner of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Aaron Gardner Sr. and his wife Sandi of Brandon, FL and Andrea Fuller-Myers and her husband Heath of Waynesboro; Four great-grandchildren, Aaron "A.J." Gardner Jr. and his companion Brittany Senn, Abigail "Abi" Fuller, Brittany Shindledecker and her companion Nick Lohman, and Morgan Gardner; great-great grandchildren, Melanie Gardner, Bailee Witmer, and Natalie Sease; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one infant brother.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday June 11, 2016 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. Waynesboro, PA with Rev. David Rawley officiating. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Saturday afternoon, in the funeral home.
