John Edward Mt Joy's cremains were placed in his father's casket (Irvin L Mt Joy) in 2016.

John Edward Mt.Joy, 44, of Nemacolin, Pa., died suddenly, on Saturday, June 15, 2013 in his home. He was born January 21, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Irvin L. Mt.Joy of Carmichaels, Pa. and the late Carol Ann (Fortley) Mt.Joy. John attended Carmichaels area schools and graduated from Winston-Salem High School in North Carolina. He served with the U. S. Navy and was a machinist by trade.

Surviving in addition to this father are a son, Logan Mt.Joy; a daughter, Alyssa Mt.Joy; a brother, Irvin Lee Mt.Joy, Jr. of North Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Frances Mt.Joy; an uncle, Richard Mt.Joy; six aunts, Dalene Watson, Joyce Busti, Mary Jo Corcoran, Kim Nath, Shaneen Krebs and Patty Fortley and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and all who knew him. He will be sadly missed by all of his immediate family. Deceased are an infant brother, Irvin Lee Mt.Joy, who died at birth; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Fortley; his paternal grandfather, Ralph Edwin Mt.Joy and an aunt, Paula Huff.

There will be no public viewing or service. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Rd Waynesburg, PA 15370.
