IDA RUTH TURNER GREEN, 92, of Hagerstown passed away Jan. 17, 2015 at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Born June 6, 1922 in St. James, Md., she was the daughter of the late John W. and A. Pearl Middlekauff Sperow. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Turner, in 1981.
She retired in 1982 from MCI-Hagerstown where she worked as a supervisor in the Accounting Dept.
Ida was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bakersville, and was a member of the Funkstown Homemakers.
She is survived by her second husband of 20 years, Rev. Charles W. Green; three stepsons, Rev. David Green and his wife, Ruth, Bethlehem, Pa.; Allan Green and his wife, Amy, and Dale Green and his wife, Debbie, all of St. James Md., 6 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John W. Turner; sister, Catherine V. Easterday; and a brother, Clarence C. Sperow.
Services Friday, January 23, 2015 at 2 pm at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, with Chaplain Mike Simane officiating. Burial at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Bakersville.
