James F. Burns Jr., Dies in New York
James F. Burns Jr., 71, of New York City died Monday following a long illness.
Mr. Burns was born in Colorado Springs April 13, 1902 and moved to Denver in 1925. Where he was active in business. He moved to New York in 1929.
He is survived by his widow, Virginia, a son, James F. Burns III and three grandchildren, all of New York, a sister, Mrs. W.F. (Gladys) Nicholson, and a brother, Wilson Burns of Moline, Ill.
Services will be in New York on Friday with private burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made the American Cancer Society.

James F. Burns Jr., senior vice president of the Harris Upham & Co., investment brokers, died Monday at the Mary Manning Walsh Home, 1339 York Avenue. His age was 71 and he lived at 29 East 64th Street.
Mr. Burns, a 1925 graduate of Yale College, was past president of the Association of Stock Exchange Firms and was on the board of governors of the New York Stock Exchange.
Surviving are his widow, the former Virginia McMillen; a son, James F. 3d; a sister, Mrs. Gladys B. Nicholson, and three grandchildren.
