Lawrence "Larry" West Stanley Jr., 65, of Penelope, passed away, Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Gerald Cemetery.

Larry was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Lawrence Sr. and Mildred (Hardaway) Stanley. He met Rebecca "Becky" Daily 40 years ago and they married two years later. He was a truck driver for several years and was a steel guitar player with the band, Josie and The Boys, for seven years. He enjoyed playing music in and around the Waco area.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Becky Stanley; daughters, Tammy Elliott Leathers and husband, Buddy, and Jacqueline Fisher; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Voyles and husband, Glenn; brother, Patrick Stanley and wife, Ming Lee; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Randy Hightower and Mike Carter; and numerous other friends and relatives.
