John D. Irvin
1946 - 2016

On May 24, 2016, John D. Irvin, age 69, passed away in a SLC, Utah nursing facility.
Born in Boise, Idaho on September 19, 1946 to William and Jessie Lois Irvin. He was married to Terrilynne Drake on October 31, 1997.

He is survived by one son, Jake; his mother, Nancy; stepchildren, Nick and Stefanie; sister, Anne, and her children: Lynn (Dan), Lisa, and Laurie (Don); grandchildren: Alec, Avery, Bailey, Bella and Camile and loads of nieces and nephews.

On this day in May, we lost a one of a kind person. We will all be missing the checking in phone calls that always started off with a "how ya doin" greeting. This was from a world class belly dumper and construction hand extraordinaire who worked all over the world from Alaska to the Middle East. John was ever the adventure seeker, a Macgyver, nothing ventured, nothing gained person. A little secret was: he loved shopping, especially if he could get a good deal.
But most of all, he was genuinely interested in people. Who they were, why they did what they did and what were they doing at that moment in time.
In his later years, instead of roaming the various states looking for exciting adventures (work) and because of his health, he took to his beloved ranch in Emmett.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary's Church in Boise on June 10, 2016 at noon.
