Benjamin Cyr, age 92, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.D. Latendresse, 610 North Fourth Street, last evening at 5 o'clock. He was born in New Brunswick and came to Yakima 31 years ago. He had been retired fro the last 25 years. He was married in 1865 to Christina Cyr. He was a member of St. Joseph's church. The family includes seven daughters, Mrs. H.D. Latendresse, Mrs. Richard Violette, Mrs. Melvina Coe, Mrs. E. J. Carpenter of Yakima, Mrs. G. M. Owens of Seattle, Mrs. Dan Latendresse of Red Lake Falls Minn., Mrs. C. R. Flink of Wadena, Minn., two sons, E. J. and James Cyr of Yakima, and one brother Dennis. A rosary service will be held in the Latendresse home this evening at 7:30 o'clock. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8 o'clock in St. Joseph's church and the Yakes F. Hamm Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Joseph Laurent, A. Courchaine, Joseph LaChange, Joseph Robillard, George Robillard and Joseph Gamache. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
