HARLINGEN – Funeral services for Miss Billie Buena McElwain, 15 year old Harlingen high school girl who died at Valley Baptist hospital at one a.m. Friday following a short illness, were held Friday afternoon at the chapel of the Stotler-Burdette mortuary with the Rev. A.E. White, pastor of the Port Isabel Baptist church, assisted by Rev. E.A. Wilder, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church here. Interment was in the Harlingen cemetery.

She is survived by her mother and father, Mr. & Mrs. W.L. McElwain, a brother, Arthur, three sisters, Elnora, Betty Lou and Patricia Ann, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. McElwain of Harlingen and Mr. & Mrs. H.W. Arthur of Baylor County, Texas.
