Franklin Beal.
Franklin Beal, 94, died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Estella E. Graybill, 1312 B avenue NE, after a lingering illness. Born in Ohio Jan. 8, 1855, he lived at Fairbank, Ia., for many years before coming to Cedar Rapids in 1948. He was a retired buttermaker.
Surviving besides Mrs. Graybill are several other nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Monahan funeral home, where friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening. Funeral announcement will be made later.

Services for Franklin Beal, 1312 B avenue NE, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Monahan funeral home by the Rev. A.L. Cole, pastor of First Christian church. Burial will be in Grove Hill cemetery, northwest of Oelwein. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday.
