The body of the late Mrs. Sortier (sic) who died at Sioux City, Ia., arrived
here and was taken to Mishicott this morning for burial. The cortege left at
7:30 and the funeral was held immediately upon arrival there. The decedent was
the mother of Mrs. Isaac Craite.

DIED:
Mrs. Isaac Craite received the sad news Monday of the death of her mother, Mrs. Martha Sortier (sic), at Sioux City, Iowa. Mrs. Sortier was 81 years of age and had lived at Mishicot for many years. Two years ago she went to live with her son at Souix City. She is survived by five children, three sons and two daughters. The body was brought here for burial. The funeral will be held today at Mishicot.

Mrs. Sortier (sic), Mother of Mrs. I. Craite, Dies in Iowa
Mrs. Martha Sortier, mother of Mrs. Isaac Craite of this city and a former well known resident of Mishicott, is dead at Sioux City, Iowa, messages received in this city today conveying the sad intelligence. The body will be brought here Wednesday afternoon and the funeral will be held at Mishicott Thursday. Mrs. Sortier was 81 years of age and resided at Mishicott many years, having taken up her home with her son in Sioux City two years ago. Besides Mrs. Craite, one daughter and three sons survive.
