Debra Cole Reed, 59, Edgewater, a former bookkeeper for Doug Cole Construction, Edgewater, died Thursday, June 2, 2016. Debra was born in New Smyrna Beach and had been a lifelong area resident.
She enjoyed collecting Native-American memorabilia and will be remembered for her quick wit and her loving and outgoing personality.
She is survived by her husband, Robert B. Reed; son, Douglas A. Toole of Edgewater; daughter, Angela (Dan) Wilhoit of New Smyrna Beach; her mother, Betty Cole Esswein of Edgewater; step mother, Mae Cole of Edgewater; two step daughters, Heather Reed of Edgewater and Lauren Reed of Destin; stepsister, Barbara (Alvin) Scott of Edgewater; five grandchildren and one step grandson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas E. Cole and her brother, Richard D. Cole.
Graveside funeral service will be 10 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery, Edgewater, with Pastor John T. Marsh, Bella Vista Baptist Church, Edgewater, officiating.
