BARBARA L. FAGAN, age 68, of Wilmington, DE. and Fort Myers, FL., died at home on Monday, May 19, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cleveland, OH. on September 7, 1939, Mrs. Fagan was the daughter of the late Peter P. and Kathryn R. (DeJulius) Fra-botta. On May 14, 1960, she married Dennis P. Fagan at Christ The King Church in East Cleveland OH. Barbara graduated from Regina High School and Notre Dame College in South Euclid, OH., and taught at Villa Angela Academy in Cleveland. In 1976 she moved to Wilmington. While her children were growing up, she was a substitute teacher in the Brandywine School District, and later taught at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, until retiring in 1997. A devout member of the I. H. M. Parish, she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. For the past several years, she spent the winter months at their second home in Fort Myers, where she was also a member of Resurrection Church. Interests included crossword puzzles and mystery books; she was also an avid fan of TV mystery shows. She travelled extensively to most of the major metropolitan areas of America, to Europe, and the Caribbean. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Dennis and four wonderful children: Laureen Fagan of South Bend, IN.; Kathleen Fagan Dale (Russ) of Elmhurst, IL.; Beth Cammar-ata (Dan) of Villa Park, IL.; and Kevin Smith-Fagan (Nancy) of Sacramento, CA.; and by her sisters Vincetta Capuano of Olmsted Falls, OH. and Rosalynne Frabotta of Timberlake, OH. She had 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom was a special love and delight, that enriched her life. She was predeceased by a twin brother John Frabotta, who died in 1998. Everyone who knew her recognized her as a woman of soft-spoken words, gentle manner, and uncomplicated grace, and she will be deeply missed by them all. She was a nurturing spirit who inspired everyone toward personal achievement and pride in their own lives. Those virtues were certainly reflected in hers as well. VIEWING WILL BE HELD AT THE MCCRERY FUNERAL HOME, 3924 CONCORD PIKE, WILMINGTON, FROM 6 - 8 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 21. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Rd. at the corner of Shipley Road in Wilmington. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH. after a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake, OH.
