Jack Howell was born on July 23, 1927 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Jack's parents both died when Jack was a young boy. Jack attended school briefly in Carlsbad, and went on to working in underground mines in Carlsbad. Jack met the love of his life Betty Savoie and shortly after meeting they married on October 1, 1948. In 1960 Jack and Betty moved to Casper, WY where Jack worked on several ranches. He later worked as an iron worker in Casper and later Gillette. The couple followed the work for Jack and they ended up in Pine Haven, WY where they lived for 30 years. Jack was always willing to put in a hard day's work. The couple moved to Primrose Retirement Community in 2014, and Betty passed away in 2015. The couple was happily married for 66 years at the time of her passing.
Jack was a true cowboy at heart. His joy in life was "Cowboying", and riding his horse Rusty. He also enjoyed elk hunting, fishing and watching baseball.
Jack is survived by many close friends that will forever miss him.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Betty and his parents.
