Frank J. Eis, age 91, a resident of the village of Mishicot, died Monday
May 6, 2002 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8,
2002 a Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers, with the Rev.
William O'Brien officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross
Catholic Church Cemetery in Mishicot.
Frank was born Aug. 26, 1910 in the town of Two Rivers to the late
Julius and Martha Benzinger Eis, and has been a lifelong area resident.
He and his brother Harvey owned and operated the Eis Brothers Farm in
the town of Two Rivers, and farmed his entire life on the family
homestead. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers,
and was also a member of the NRA and the West Shore Sportsman's Club. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing sheepshead. He also liked trap
shooting.
Survivors include one sister-in-law: Bernice (Eis) Gibeault of Green
Bay; many nieces and nephews, including his special nieces and nephews:
Jack and Linda Eis and family: Pat Eis and family; Bob and Jean Eis and
family; Jeanette and Bernard Van Camp and family; and Larry and Lorraine
Wegner and family. He was also preceded in death by six brothers: Oscar,
Elmer, Harold, Walter, Raymond and Harvey Eis; two sisters: Esther
Wegner and Veronica Hoffman; a sister-in-law: Marie Eis; three nephews;
Jules Eis, Donald Eis and Ralph Hoffman; one niece: Jane Wagner, and two
great-nieces: Sara and Terri Eis.
Relatives and friends may call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at Holy
Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers, until the time of the funeral
Mass at 10:30 a.m. there will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
The Lambert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Eis family with
funeral arrangements.
