Mr. Jerry Marlin Chance, age 71, of Bremen, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born on June 2, 1945 in Carroll County, the son of the late Martin Leroy Chance and the late Sara Steadham Chance. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the West Georgia Worship Center.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Alan and Rachel Hartley, and Bryan Keith Hartley, all of Birmingham, Alabama; grandson, William T. Sebastian Hartley of Birmingham and sister, Connie Hilaman of Carrollton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 5 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 6 at 2:00 P.M. from the West Georgia Worship Center with Reverend Ricky Shirley officiating. The body will be placed in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour. Music will be furnished by Ashton Purser. Tim Green, Jackie Green. Jr., Jonathan Smith. Ray Roberson, Gene Roberson and Gary Shadrix will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Jordon Cemetery in Carroll County.
