Beverly Sherman, age 90, of Janesville, died Friday, June 3, 2016, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born in Morton Grove, IL, on May 18, 1926, the daughter of Roland and Ruth (Gifford) Lasher. She graduated from Milton Union High School in 1944. Beverly married David Sherman on Feb. 1, 1945, in Rockford, IL, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2009. She worked at Parker Pen before getting married, and later provided in-home child care for over 40 years. She was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1999. She designed the seasonal window displays for Cedar Crest for many years. Beverly volunteered her time and artistic abilities to help produce over 100 shows for the Elks Club. Beverly enjoyed making centerpieces, and working on theatre design. She was a Brownie Leader and Den mother in the 1950’s. She was a Sunday school teacher at Cargill Church, and helped organize their church bazaars.

She is survived by her five children: Sharyn, Steve (Melody), Greg, Mark and Michelle Sherman; step son, Lonnie (Virginia) Sherman; eight grandchildren: Sheila and Brian Sherman, Erin, Stephanie and Kelsey Sherman, Dana Weber, David Sherman and Derek Sherman; 11 great-grandchildren: Mariah, Miranda, Xander, Ashley, Audrey, Kyan, Cashton, Emri, Pierson, Jaelyn, and Natalie; two great-grandchildren, Milah and Miloh; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Marion, Arlene, and Gloria; and a brother, Kenneth.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Rev. Susan Lockman officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
