There are few times in a town's history when the people of that town suffer such widespread sorrow, for they know that a significant connection is broken forever. The passing of the Reverend Willie Flemon McIntosh is one of those times.

He was a man of God, a beloved teacher and coach, a loving father and a role model to many young and old. Whether you called him "Rev. Mac", "Coach Mac", or "W.F." his presence was a comfort and inspiration.

Willie Flemon Dubois McIntosh was the only son of the Reverend Willie Flemon McIntosh, Sr., and Mrs. Maggie Myers McIntosh, a professional educator who retired from teaching to raise her family. Rev. Willie Sr.'s family lived in and around Marion, Pamplico, Bennettsville, and Florence, South Carolina.
