Anita Goodwin Evans, age 81, of Potter Town Road, Todd, NC died May 30, 2016 at Blowing Rock Extended Care Facility. She was born February 8, 1935 in Paterson, New Jersey. She was a former employee of the Comfort Inn of Boone, and was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.
Anita is survived by one grandson, Ronald Evans and wife Michelle of Boone; two granddaughters, Stacy Hart of Lenoir and Paula Osborne and husband Paul of Lenoir; two great-grandsons, Storm Evans of Butler, Tennessee and Ryan Harmon of Boone; four great-granddaughters, Terri Evans of Todd, Serenity Osborne of Lenoir, Kaylyn Evans of Boone and Auhdri Osborne of Lenoir; and three nephews, Bryan Evans and Robert Evans, both of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, and Adam Evans and wife Charlotte of Kings Mountain, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland Evans, Jr., a son Ronald Allen Evans, and her father and mother, Henry Goodwin and Fannie Castmore Goodwin.
Funeral services held at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Kenneth Phillips.
