MORGANTON Mrs. Faye Marie Hartley Ford, 74, of Morganton, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, following a period of declining health. Faye was born May 15, 1942, in Watauga County, to the late Fred Hartley and Delta Rimmer Hartley. She was a member of Clarks Chapel and was retired from Shadowline. After her retirement she worked several years at Sherrill Furniture. Faye loved to be outdoors gardening and planting flowers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Hartley and an infant sister; and one brother, Bobby Hartley. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William "Bill" Ford of the home; one son, Danny Ray Ford and wife; Diane of Valdese; two grandsons, Cody Ford of Morganton and Brent Ford of Valdese; and one sister, Betty Watts and husband, Sid of Morganton
