Danny Steven Armstrong, age 62, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016.
Mr. Armstrong was born on July 4, 1953 in Cartersville, GA son of the late John Titus Armstrong and his mother Jean Edwards Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong was a loving husband, son and father. He was employed with Elster Meter Services. Mr. Armstrong enjoyed the outdoors and spending time on the beach with his family. In his earlier years he frequently went fishing and hunting with his friends. He was also a sports fanatic and loved to watch his favorite teams, including, the Falcons, Braves and the GA Bulldogs. If a game wasn’t on, he could always be found watching NCIS. He was a proud member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He is already missed, but will never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Matthew Armstrong and John Howell Armstrong.
Survivors include his mother; loving wife of nearly 29 years, Emily Moore Armstrong; daughters, Brianna Armstrong, stationed at the naval base in San Diego, CA and Heather (Tyler) Adams of Cartersville, GA; numerous other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Towns and Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Colston, Malcolm Pritchett, Greg Adcock, Michael Forsyth, Nathan Edwards and Sam Edwards.
The family will receive friends from five o’clock in the evening until eight on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Owen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church or the American Heart Association .
