Rose Marie Cretton, 92, Two Rivers, died Sunday evening, Oct. 20, 2002, at the
Aurora Medical Center after a short illness.
Rose was born May 3, 1910, in Hays, Kan., daughter of the later Peter and
Caroline Karlin Antonie. On May 16, 1933, Rose married Earl Cretton. He preceded
her in death on March 7, 1958. She was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing Company,
retiring in 1975. Rose was a member of the Federal Trades-Retired Union Trustee,
Homemakers Trustee and Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include grandchildren, Patricia and Jim Goodrich, Fort Gibson, Okla.;
James and Karen Cretton, De Pere; Sue Cretton, Green Bay; Jean and Rod DeBauche,
Green Bay; Tony Cretton, San Francisco; Michael and Lisa Cretton , Wauwatosa;
Tom and Anke Cretton, Germany; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Johanna, Carly,
Lily, Quinn, Paige and Tasha; a special friend, Carolee Robbins, Denmark; four
brothers, three sisters-in-law and two sisters. Rose was also preceded in death
by one son, Donald Cretton; one sister, Ann; two brothers and one daughter-in-law,
Joe, Cyril and JoAnn Cretton; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of
service Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer
site, Two Rivers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002 at St. Peter
the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be the Rev. William O’Brien with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery
in Mishicot.
The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is
assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Rose will be remembered as a fun loving, independent woman who was a wonderful cook.
In her younger years she loved to dance, in her middle years she loved to travel
and in her later years she loved to cook for her family and friends. “Here’s to
living 92 years to the fullest - Prost!”
