On May 20, 1972 in St. Louis, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Delores Marie Matejka and to this union three children were born, in his words his three most prized possessions. Together they shard forty-four years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Frank P. Lane, Jr.; his uncle, Frank Hart and his sister-in-law, Virginia Matejka.
Survivors include his wife Delores Lane of the home; his daughters, Rebecca L. Oakes and husband Michael and Lianne M. Johnson and husband Jeramiah all of Camdenton, Missouri, grandchildren, Melissa Lynn Oakes, Lane Michael Oakes and Madison Renee Stone; sister-in-law, Theresa Mendez and husband Manuel of Camdenton, Missouri; his dog , Ginger and many friends.
Frank was raised in the St. Louis area and went to school in the Fox School District. He attended Kemper Military Academy. He was a machinist for many years for the Nooter Corporation. In the fall of 1990 Frank and Delores purchased a business in Greenview, Missouri. He then became a dispatcher for the Camden County Sheriff’s Department and worked there for fifteen years until his retirement.
Frank made a profession of faith and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
In his spare time, Frank most enjoyed his family and friends. On Friday nights he could be found at the Camdenton Lakers Football field watching the football games and the half-time show performance by the Camdenton Pride of the Lake Band. On Sundays, he would spend his afternoons watching Nascar with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. being his favorite. Frank had a passion for decorating his yard at Christmas time with many different types of inflatable characters. He would start planning this in August.
He was a member of the Lions Club and Knights of Columbus. He was a board member and firefighter for Mid County Fire Protection District.
Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and a caring neighbor and friend. Frank has blessed his family and friends with many good times and memories that they will treasure forever.
Memorial donations may be made to Pride of the Lake Band Boosters and left at the funeral home.
