Michael Edwin Cauley -MACON - Michael E. Cauley, 48, died at his residence Friday, September 13th after a nine month battle with brain cancer. Michael graduated from Jones County High School in 1972 and attended Mercer University. He was employed as an electrical engineer for Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation. Mike was a member of Harvest Cathedral, where he attended faithfully throughout his lengthy illness. Mike was an example of God's grace in spite of a terminal illness. -Mike was a loving husband to his wife of 28 years, Shelby Cone Cauley. He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Rachel Caddell and Melanie Benton and an especially adoring grandfather to four year old Caley Caddell and two year old Rayner Caddell. He is also survived by his mother, Jackie Cauley and his father, Billy Cauley, both of Jones County and brothers, Ronald Cauley of Atlanta and Chuck Cauley and sister, Susan Abney; grandmother, Lucille Cauley of Jones County and several nieces and nephews. His mother-in-law was Mary Cone of Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Gail & John Metcalf of Macon, Derrel & Lynn Cone of Frankfurt, Kentucky. -Funeral services will be performed by Pastor Steve Sawyer of Harvest Cathedral and will be held 11A.M. Monday, September 16, 2002 at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray, with interment to follow at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray. - Visitation will be 4:00 until 6:00P.M.
