ROSSVILLE -- Shirley J. Franklin Henley, 79, of Clayton died Oct. 26, 2006. She was born Aug. 22, 1927, to Basil and Elaine Franklin. Mrs. Henley was a secretary for the former Clayton Schools and the current Mill Creek School Corporation. She also was a bookkeeper for the former Friedman-Poland Pontiac Dealership in Danville for over 20 years. Shirley was a member of the Clayton Christian Church, served as president of the Clayton Cemetery Association board of directors, a former member of the Clayton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and an avid bowler. Services 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, in the church with visitation 1 hour prior to the service and 4-8 p.m. Sun., Oct. 29, at the WEAVER & RANDOLPH FUNERAL HOME CLAYTON. Burial - Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Wm. Jeffrey (Dottie) Henley of Rossville, a daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Jamison of Clayton, 6 grandchildren, Laura Monday, Billie and Bryan Jamison, Blaire, Jordon and Matt Henley; and a great-grandson, Ethan Monday. Mrs. Henley was preceded in death by her husband, William C. "Bill" Henley.
