Dr. George Walter Dittmar, noted dentist, passed away at his home in Chicago on May 18. He received his degrees of doctor fo dental surgery from Northwestern University and was appointed Superintendent of the Infirmary and instructor at the Illinois School of Dentistry at its inception, and with which he was associated for over 40 years.

He was a past president of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society, and Supreme Grand Master of Delta Sigma Delta fraternity. He had made many valuable contributions to dental literature.

He was the son of Albert and Anna (Praeger) Dittmar. He married Agnes C. (Dooling) in 1904 and was the father of 2 daughters, Catherine and Charlotte, and son George Walter Jr.
