Miss LaVerne Cherney, 17, died this morning at the home, 1208 North 11th
street, after a short illness. Burial will be Friday morning when the body
will be taken from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home to the
Mishicot cemetery. The Rev. E. A. Radey of Holy Innocents Catholic church
will officiate. Services will be strictly private, and the body cannot be
viewed.
Miss Cherney was born on December 10, 1923, at Stiles, Oconto county, and
came to Manitowoc with her parents 11 years ago.
Survivors are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Cherney; four brothers,
(private), all of Manitowoc; and four sisters, (private).
