Death last Thursday here of Mrs. Anna E. Clare, wife of local resident, Aug. Clare, after a long illness with stomach cancer. The deceased spent nine months under treatment in a Milwaukee hospital. Burial took place in Mishicott.

Clare - At her home in this city on August 4, 1898, Annie E., wife of August Clare, aged 48 years and 4 days. Deceased was a resident of the city but a few months, her former home being Mishicott. Her husband came here to reside sometime last winter while she was at the Milwaukee hospital to be treated for cancer of the stomach and she was brought here after being discharged from that hospital as incurable. She suffered terrible agony almost constantly for months previous to her death which was to her a welcome release from pain. Deceased was a native of Denmark,, her maiden name being Annie E. Hanson. She was buried at Mishicot, her former home, yesterday.
