Elijah K. Ailes, died Sunday at his home in Milan aged 72 years. He was born January 30, 1832 and was a Civil War veteran, serving with Company C., 6th Iowa. He married Mrs. Lucy James in Davenport, Iowa in 1866; she survives along with a setpson, Hons James and an adopted son, Mearl McCullough. The funeral was Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church with burial in the Dickson Cemetery.
