Pius B. Wagner was born December 13, 1926 in Linton, ND, the son of Balzer J. and Josephine (Lipp) Wagner. He worked on the family farm until he entered the U.S. Army in 1946. Pius returned to Linton and married Magdalena Fischer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hague, ND on September 20, 1954. He worked in auto body repair, and established his own business in 1961.

Pius was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Knight's of Columbus and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife: Magdalena of Linton; two sons: Aaron and Kevin, both of Linton; six brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack and Cecilia Wagner of Linton, Pete and Jean Wagner of Spokane, WA, Rueben and Ginger Wagner of Seattle, WA, Andy and Vicky Wagner, William and Angie Wagner and Eddie and Lena Wagner all of Bismarck, ND; and one sister: Berna Wagner of Sioux City, IA.

Pius was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Wayne, and one brother, Eugene in WWII.

Linton, N.D. - The funeral for Pius Wagner, 79, of Linton will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Linton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at Eureka Health Care Center in Eureka, S.D. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Home in Linton, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.
