(Note: If you are a descendent and would be interested in comparing DNA results, please contact me. I believe William and my GGF Ed Brennan were first cousins.)

Husband of Rose Angella Ferrell.

William Henry Brennan was born in Holland Township, Grey County, Ontario, Canada to James Brennan and Clarissa Keyes, the third of their 10 children.

He emigrated to California at the age of 16, then to Montana in 1879, where he was a very successful contractor and businessman.

William married Rose Ferrell in Virginia City in 1889. They later moved to Hamilton, Montana, where they built the first house in the city.

Their eldest child of eight, daughter Clarissa, was the first white child born in Hamilton, Montana.

William was first cousin to the Berkeley Brennan brothers.

note: His stone lists his year of birth as 1857, but a biographical sketch published in his lifetime lists 1856, so I've used the latter.
