Frances was born February 3, 1927 to Charles Leslie Cheatham and Icy B. (Cawley) Cheatham in Perkins, Oklahoma.
She was the third child of seven. She had 5 brothers and one sister. After receiving her education she met and married Robert B. McKinley and they started a life together in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They had two children, Carol Sue Smith (deceased) and Mary Ann Pracht.
Frances worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital and later at nursing facility in admissions. Later she married Charles Gregory. Robert and Charles preceded her in death, at which time she retired and moved to Hilton Head Island to be near her daughter and son in law.
Frances was a hardworking, independent person. She was a very kind and thoughtful person. She loved her family deeply and especially liked spending hours reminiscing over the old times with her brother Bill. She also was a long time member of Oakwood Bible Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2pm at Six Oaks Cemetery, 175 Greenwood Dr, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations to the following would be welcome:
