Jim was the son of the late Phillip and Thelma (Hays) Bray. He retired from Correll, Inc. in Charleston. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Thelma Bray; one brother, Larry Bray and one grandson, Raymond Dale Bray.
Mr. Bray is survived by his beloved wife of 59: years, Reba (Johnston) Bray; 1 son: Jimmy Dale Bray, Jr. of Greenwood, Arkansas; 3 daughters: Kathy Louise (Bray) Jackson of Greenwood, Arkansas; Andra Marie (Bray) Williams of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Jerrie Lynn (Bray) Roberts and husband: Reverend Mark Roberts, Sr. of Benton, Arkansas; 2 brothers: Bobby Phil Bray, Sr. and Ricky Allen Bray, Sr. both of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a special niece: Linda Lairamore of Pocola, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many dear friends.
Jim will be missed by all who knew him and by the many lives he impacted, including a host of cousins, extended family, friends, neighbors and dear loved ones close to his heart.
Celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith with Rev. Mark Roberts officiated the graveside service.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Williams, Jeremy Roberts and Mark Roberts, Jr.
