Married on Jun. 8, 1668 to Sarah Beardsley, he married second, abt. 1690 to Mehitable Hinsdale, father of 3 sons and 3 daughters. He was a Sgt. in King Philip's war, in which he lost 3 brothers. He lived at Hatfield, Ma, Stratford, CT and later Wethersfield. Buried in the Old Cemetery at Wethersfield. The widow Mehitable, who raised Obadiah's children by his first wife, married
in Dec. 1698 to Joseph Hills (1649-1713) and had a son Benoni Hills in (1700-93)
