Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Ronald Benson will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Grand Island.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Donal M. Hansen was born on November 8, 1913, in Howard County to Mordan and Elsie (Stine) Hansen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter, Doris Hansen of Central City; five sisters, Myrtle Davis of Longview, Washington, Sophie Norton of Litchfield, Lorraine Fought of North Platte, Laura Gonser of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Ruby Sayles; and a brother, Fred Hansen of Litchfield.
Also Surviving is one grand child.
Mr. Hansen grew up and attended public school in Boelus.
He was united in marriage to Elaine Ueckert on April 13, 1958, at Grand Island. Mr. Hansen worked fourteen years at the Ordnance Plant and in maintenance at Riverside Golf Club for ten years. He retired in 1982. Mrs. Hansen died on October 13, 1999.
Mr. Hansen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters, and a brother.
