Patsy Tabor Sanders, age 83, of Morehead, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016, at Baptist Health in Lexington.
Born October 27, 1932, in Williamson, WV., she was a daughter of Martin C. and Mary Toler Tabor.
Mrs. Sanders was devoted to her family and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of everyone and cooking for all. A wonderful cook, she was especially recognized for her baking skills. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Tabor and Mary Rose Farley.
Her husband of 62 years, John Bennett Sanders, whom she married November 18, 1948, passed away on November 12, 2010, and three sons also preceded her in death, Thomas Martin Sanders in 1949, Ralph Bennett Sanders in 1962, and Mike Sanders in 2003.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn "Susie" Mayhorn and husband Steve of Morehead, one daughter-in-law, Mike's wife, Jackie Sanders of Mt. Sterling, one sister, Eva Holm of Grove City, OH., six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel, with Jack Roe and Steve Mayhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
