Norman Leo Pierce Jr. passed away at his home on Monday, May 30, 2016 at the age of 74. He was the cherished husband of the late Laura Theresa Perez Pierce for 53 years. Loving father of Gary Pierce, Brian Pierce (Tamra), Laura Ponthieux (Tommy) and the late Cynthia Pierce. Son of the late Rhea Rabalais Pierce and Norman Leo Pierce Sr. Brother of Joyce Defraites, Kathy Volpe, Larry Pierce and the late Randy Pierce. Proud grandfather of Heather Marie Thompson, Thomas Ponthieux Jr., Caden Ponthieux, Jeremy Michael Pierce, Brandon Nicholas Pierce and Nathan Daniel Pierce. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Norman was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and retired from the New Orleans Police Department after many years of service.
Norman will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM.
He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens..
