J. C. Brown Died In Fort Worth Sunday

John Clark Brown, 87, died in the Autumn Leaf Lodge in Fort Worth Sunday February 19, 1967. Mr. Brown was born in Ashville, Alabama. He moved to the Paluxy Rock Church area of Hood County at the age of 16. He was a farmer in the area and it was while living there he married Jo Ella Landers. She passed away a number of years ago.

Mr. Brown had been a member of the Baptist Church since early in life.

He is survived by his wife, Lena, a son, Jake Brown of Fort Worth, two daughters, Mrs. Barto Swaim and Mrs. Lowell Miller of Granbury; 4 step-daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Swaim of Granbury, Mrs. Ola Pearl Kelley of Fort Worth, Mrs. Ethel Knight of Petrolia and Mrs. Fern Mabery of Calumet, Oklahoma; a stepson, Weldon Britton of El Reno, Oklahoma.

Funeral services were held at the Tolar Baptist Church Monday, February 21, 1967 at 2:30 pm with Dr. C. G. Carter officiating. Burial was in Rock Church Cemetery.
