Douglas M. Hawkins, 72, of Spencer Pike, Mt.Sterling, Kentucky passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on September 13, 1943 the son of the late Ralph and Trilby Bartley Hawkins. He was an auto mechanic.

He is survived by a son, Bryant Douglas Hawkins of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Denise Hall of Sarasota, FL; four brothers, James Hawkins, Gobel Hawkins and Clayton (Glenna) Hawkins all of Mt. Sterling, KY and Grady (Ann) Hawkins of Ocala, FL; seven sisters, Kathryn (Ray) Copher of Muscle Shoals, AL, Marleen (Charles) Wills of Mt. Sterling, Loreba Lawrence of Mt. Sterling, Rita (Kenneth) Aday of Madison, AL, Alma (Kenneth) Wells of Mt. Sterling; Myrtle Young of Ormond Beach, FL and Sheila (Jeff) Nicholas of Owasso, OK.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Sizemore officiating and burial following in the Lovely & Amburgey Cemetery
